Lindsey Potter
Bright Light Early Care & Education
Owner/Director
Lindsey has always worked in the field of childcare. In the beginning, this looked like babysitting. Growing up in a close-knit and physically close family, Lindsey was the oldest grandchild of 27. At least once a month, she gathered with her large family for Sunday dinner and family time at the farm.
As an adult, she worked in a variety of childcare and before- and after-school settings while attending MSU, where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and a K–5 Teaching Certificate. She later completed a Master’s in Educational Theory from Olivet College.
For ten years, Lindsey taught, managed, and administered Head Start/GSRP blended programs in the rural communities of Olivet and Tekonsha, Michigan. She then worked on a WKKF-funded grant to develop shared services and childcare infrastructure support in the connected community of Battle Creek—most of this work focused on the nonprofit side of childcare.
Lindsey joins CPAOM as a new business owner and director of Bright Lights Early Care and Education, a center built on the vision of family bonds and authentic play being at the heart of each child’s daily experience.
